# How to use Kodus with Subconscious

## Set up Kodus

### 1. Create a Subconscious API key

Sign in at https://platform.subconscious.dev and create an API key. You will paste it into the settings screen below.

### 2. Open BYOK providers

Go to app.kodus.io/byok, or Settings, then BYOK on a self-hosted install, and open the Providers tab.

### 3. Connect Subconscious

Connect a custom OpenAI-compatible provider with these values, then click Test.

- Base URL: `https://api.subconscious.dev/v1`
- API key: `Your Subconscious API key`
- Model ID: `subconscious/glm-5.3-marathon`

### 4. Route reviews to the model

In the Routing tab, assign the Subconscious model to review tasks. The Budget tab can cap spend.
