GMI Cloud vs Boundless: key differences

GMI Cloud owns its NVIDIA hardware in data centers in Silicon Valley, Colorado, Taiwan, Thailand and Malaysia. Its OpenAI compatible Inference Engine serves 100+ text, image, video and audio models, and customers can move from shared endpoints to reserved H100 or H200 capacity on the same API. H100s rent from $2.60 an hour. Boundless serves text models, including DeepSeek V4 Flash at $0.04 in and $0.21 out per million tokens and GLM-5.2 at $0.34 in and $2.30 out, plus resold GPT and Claude models, through an OpenAI and Anthropic compatible API. Requests run in the US or Europe with zero data retention, and its reserved tier is run by Boundless engineers against uptime, throughput and latency targets in the contract.

GMI Cloud is the pick for inference kept in APAC, for video and LLMs on one bill, and for teams that want raw GPU hours. Boundless fits teams that want US or European processing, closed and open models on one key, or a managed deployment they can trial free for two weeks on real traffic.

What GMI Cloud and Boundless do

GMI Cloud

GMI Cloud is a vertically integrated GPU cloud and inference platform that owns its NVIDIA hardware. It runs Tier-4 data centers in Silicon Valley, Colorado, Taiwan, Thailand and Malaysia, and as an NVIDIA Cloud Partner it gets priority access to H100, H200, B200 and GB200 supply, with GB300 on pre-order. In March 2026 it announced a 1GW sovereign AI factory in Kagoshima, Japan. The company pivoted from crypto mining into AI, which gave it experience standing up high-density power and cooling fast. In September 2026 it raised $668M: a $223M Series B led by ARCHIV with NVIDIA participating, plus a $445M credit facility led by CTBC. It reports over $600M in contracted ARR and about 4T tokens a week on its inference platform.

Boundless

Boundless launched in September 2026 as an inference partner for AI-native startups. It sells two things. The Model API serves pre-tuned models on shared capacity, billed per token from prepaid credits with a budget per API key. Tailored inference reserves capacity for one customer, and Boundless engineers pick the model on the customer’s own evals, tune precision, batching, caching, speculative decoding and parallelism, then run the deployment against uptime, throughput and latency targets written into the contract. A free two-week evaluation tests those targets on real traffic against the customer’s current provider first.
