Anthropic vs Nebius: key differences

Nebius and Anthropic answer different procurement questions. Nebius, headquartered in Amsterdam, runs Token Factory with 60+ open models such as Llama, Qwen, DeepSeek, GLM, Kimi and GPT-OSS from $0.06 per million input tokens, and it sells raw NVIDIA GPUs from H100s at $2.15 an hour preemptible. Dedicated endpoints carry a 99.9% SLA with optional EU or US placement, and uploaded fine-tunes serve at the same token pricing. Anthropic offers none of that infrastructure. It sells Claude by the token, from Haiku 4.5 at $1 in to Fable 5.1 at $10 in, through its API and major clouds.

European enterprises that must keep AI workloads in-region, or teams that want to grow from inference into training on the same account, are Nebius customers. Teams whose main need is the strongest coding and long-agent model, with 1M context and cheap Fable cache reads, stay with Claude. Nebius has frictions of its own: no free trial, a $25 minimum first payment, and a smaller catalog than Novita or Together. For some stacks the answer is both, Claude for reasoning and Nebius for open-model volume.

What Anthropic and Nebius do

Anthropic

Anthropic sells the Claude family of closed models through its own API, Amazon Bedrock, Google Vertex AI and Microsoft Foundry. The public lineup today runs from Claude Fable 5.1 at the top, released September 1, 2026, through the Opus and Sonnet tiers down to Haiku 4.5. List prices span a tenfold range, from $10 in and $50 out on Fable to $1 in and $5 out on Haiku. The top three tiers include a 1M token context window at standard pricing with no surcharge past 200K.

Example models: Claude Fable 5.1, Claude Haiku 4.5

Nebius

Nebius is an Amsterdam-headquartered AI cloud and the strongest European alternative to the US hyperscalers. It sells raw NVIDIA GPU compute, from H100s at $2.15 an hour preemptible up to GB300 NVL72 racks, and it has begun adding Vera Rubin. Hyperscale buyers back it: a Microsoft capacity deal worth about $17.4B in September 2025, then a Meta agreement worth up to about $27B in March 2026.

Example models: DeepSeek V3, GPT-OSS

If your agents run past 200K tokens, compare both against Subconscious. Our inference stack treats a long-horizon trace as the primary workload, so speed, cost, and accuracy hold up deep into the trace.
