What is Nebius?
Nebius is an Amsterdam-headquartered AI cloud and the strongest European alternative to the US hyperscalers. It sells raw NVIDIA GPU compute, from H100s at $2.15 an hour preemptible up to GB300 NVL72 racks, and it has begun adding Vera Rubin. Hyperscale buyers back it: a Microsoft capacity deal worth about $17.4B in September 2025, then a Meta agreement worth up to about $27B in March 2026.
Its managed inference product, Token Factory, was renamed from Nebius AI Studio in November 2025. It serves 60+ open models including Llama, Qwen, DeepSeek, GLM, Kimi and GPT-OSS behind an OpenAI-compatible API, with prices starting at $0.06 per million input tokens. Dedicated endpoints carry a 99.9% SLA with speculative decoding, autoscaling past 100M tokens per minute and optional EU or US placement. You can upload a fine-tuned checkpoint and serve it at the same token pricing, and Artificial Analysis has measured Nebius among the top hosts on raw throughput.
Nebius pros, cons and use cases
Upsides
- EU data residency and sovereignty for regulated European buyers.
- Managed inference and raw GPUs on one account, so a team can grow from tokens into training.
- Low per-token prices and competitive preemptible GPU rates.
Core use cases
- European enterprises that need AI workloads kept in-region.
- Serving fine-tuned open models on dedicated endpoints with an SLA.
Downsides
- No free trial, a $25 minimum first payment, and startup credits limited to funded companies coming through partners.
- Smaller model catalog than Novita or Together, and Mistral has left the public list.
