Nebius vs TypeSafe AI: key differences

TypeSafe AI does not generate text. Its Jev model takes an answer space defined up front, such as a choice or a score, and returns a typed answer with calibrated probabilities, usually in about 100ms and at a fraction of an LLM call's cost. Nebius runs a general AI cloud with 60+ open models, dedicated endpoints and raw GPUs. Comparing them head to head misses the point, because one writes and reasons while the other makes fast, schema-bound decisions. Nebius has no decision-model product, and TypeSafe hosts no general models.

They fit together inside an agent harness. Jev can route tickets, score leads, grade tool calls, detect jailbreaks or pick which LLM gets a prompt, and the chosen model could be one served on Nebius. That keeps expensive generation for the steps that need it. Nebius is the mature option for production scale, with a 99.9% SLA and EU or US placement. TypeSafe is in early access with text-only input and a new programming model to learn, so teams should budget time to evaluate it before routing critical traffic through it.

What Nebius and TypeSafe AI do

Nebius

Nebius is an Amsterdam-headquartered AI cloud and the strongest European alternative to the US hyperscalers. It sells raw NVIDIA GPU compute, from H100s at $2.15 an hour preemptible up to GB300 NVL72 racks, and it has begun adding Vera Rubin. Hyperscale buyers back it: a Microsoft capacity deal worth about $17.4B in September 2025, then a Meta agreement worth up to about $27B in March 2026.

TypeSafe AI

TypeSafe AI builds decision models instead of text generators. Founder Diogo Almeida co-invented RLHF and InstructGPT at OpenAI and later worked at Google Brain. After two years in stealth the company released its first System One Model, Jev, in early access. The name nods to Kahneman's fast System 1 thinking, and the model is built for machines to call, not people to chat with.
